SSCG Annual General Meeting
29th July @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
This year the SSCG AGM has had to be put back until Thursday 29/7/2021 for a number of reasons. Firstly the continuing Covid pandemic and the Government restrictions have inevitably influenced the date and secondly the need to allow all members the maximum opportunity to attend and/or make their views known. We would like to reinstate the AGM as both a formal and social event with the return of the Annual BBQ (you bring your seat, drink and eating/drinking equipment, the SSCG will provide the BBQ , food and hand sanitiser etc).
There are certain ‘standard’ items on the agenda required by our constitution but equally there are other topics you may feel need to be discussed.
The ‘Standard’ items are:
Apologies for absence (and new item appointment of proxies).
Finances- presentation of group accounts for the year.
Any other business.
Committee elections – all existing committee stand down, those willing to be re-elected and other members willing to be elected are offered for election by the group.
Other items that are already on the agenda are:
Work Parties in our new home at Shadow Woods.
Possible uses of some group funds – 3 suggestions will be presented to members at the AGM:
1) A group marquee + information boards + members & product directory + membership package for use at shows.
2) An enhanced training bursary for members to attend courses provided by other members or non-members at subsidised rates.
3) An equipment grant/subsidy scheme to enable members to purchase equipment that will improve their productivity or extend their product lines.
It is also to ask you if you have any other items of particular concern which you feel should be added to the agenda for discussion?
If you are unable to attend you now have the opportunity to assign another member to act as your ‘proxy’ and vote on your behalf.
