Coronavirus and the Bodger’s Ball With great regret, it is now necessary to cancel the Bodgers Ball for May 2020. This has not been an easy decision to reach; your committee has spent a considerable amount of time trying to balance the risk to our members against the cancellation of a much-anticipated event, not to mention the financial loss to people running the pre-Ball courses. The Government has now decided to bring in legislation to ban mass gatherings; details of this are not known at the time of writing, but it is likely that this would include events such as the Bodgers Ball. We have therefore taken the decision to cancel. Rescheduling of the Ball will be dependent on how the coronavirus epidemic plays out. If it is reasonably possible to arrange another event for this Autumn then this will be done; if not then the next Ball will be in May 2021. Please check the Bodgers website frequently, as this will have the most current news about any changes.
